Pura Vida

"Pura Vida" is what I hope to portray in the photos I take. "Pura Vida" is not only a very popular saying in Costa Rica, but a way of life. Its literal translation means “Pure Life” but it's much more than that. It's about cherishing the simple things in life, and slowing down to enjoy it all.

Iliana Aragón is a a proud hija of Mexican immigrant parents, born and raised in The Bronx. She is the happiest when traveling with a camera in hand. "Pura Vida" is what she hopes to portray through her photos.
